About GDF

The Georgia Dietetic Foundation (GDF), established in 1995, is a non-profit organization designed to support the education and professional development of dietetic and other health professionals. Over the past 20 years, GDF has awarded $55,000 to 50 students and dietetic interns, $17,303 for professional development grants, and $4,500 for five professional development stipends. Foundation activities have included monetary donations to local community organizations; support for statewide educational meetings, including the Georgia Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (GAND) Annual Convention and Exhibition (ACE); and promotion of delivery of up-to-date nutrition information and services to Georgians through a variety of media such as newsletters and online and in-person presentations.

Mission Statement

The mission of GDF is to promote the health and well-being of Georgia citizens through nutrition education by supporting the education and professional development of dietetic and other health care professionals.
